Manchester City's boss, Pep Guardiola, is frustrated about the rest period ahead of the crucial Champions League ties
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has openly admitted his frustration over rest periods ahead of the critical encounters with Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League quarter-final.
The Spaniard is concerned about the fact City will have two highly challenging Premier League ties before the first leg against the Royals, while the Spaniards won't play a single game of football until that UCL fixture on April 9.
"We play Aston Villa at night in midweek, then again at early slot against Crystal Palace on Saturday! Then we go to Madrid on Tuesday. Madrid has nine days to prepare, nine days," he said following the City goalless draw against Arsenal.

Guardiola's comments point at the disparity between the schedules of City and Real Madrid in the coming weeks with the latter not in domestic action next weekend due to the Copa del Rey final and then taking on Manchester City.
