
Liverpool's Diogo Jota dies in a car crash!

The 28-year-old Portuguese footballer lost his life in a fatal car accident in Spain on Thursday morning
Liverpool winger Diogo Jota died on Thursday morning in a traffic accident in the province of Zamora, Spain, Marca reports.
According to Marca, The 28-year-old Portuguese international suffered a fatal accident at kilometre 65 of the A-52 highway, near the Zamora region of Sanabria.
The Liverpool player died when the vehicle he was travelling in with his brother Andre Silva, 26, also a professional footballer of the Portuguese second-tier side Penafiel, left the road, causing a fire. Jota's brother also died in the accident

According to witnesses who called emergency, the car was engulfed in flames, spreading to nearby vegetation.
Jota began his career in his native Portugal, coming through the Pacos de Ferreira academy before joining Atletico Madrid in 2016.
But he never made an appearance for the La Liga side, instead going on loan to Porto - the city where he was born - and then Wolves, where he eventually made a permanent move in 2018.

Diogo Jota joined Liverpool in 2020 from Wolverhampton for €44.7 million. Since then, he has played 182 matches for the Reds, scoring 65 goals and providing 26 assists. At that time, he won three titles with the Reds: a Premier League title (2024-25), an FA Cup (2021-22) and a League Cup (2021-22).
Jota married his long-term partner Rute Cardoso, with whom he has three children, just a few days ago.
