Liverpool child and Slot's loyal soldier out for the season

The Reds' defender Conor Bradley will miss the remainder of the campaign after sustaining a severe knee injury against Arsenal last Thursday

Liverpool will hardly defend the Premier League title they won last season, as they are almost certainly out of the title race, trailing 14 points behind the table-toppers, Arsenal. In the remainder of the season, the Reds' primary EPL focus will be a battle for the Champions League spots, but they'll be forced to fight it without Arne Slot's loyal soldier and the club's child, Conor Bradley.

The 23-year-old right-back picked up a severe knee injury against Arsenal on Thursday, and, even though it's not an ACL tear, he'll have to undergo surgery.

The player whom the Gunners' Gabriel Martinelli tried to push off the pitch (unaware of the seriousness of the injury), causing a scandal, will thus miss the remainder of the season, including not only Liverpool's campaign, but also Northern Ireland's appearance in the FIFA World Cup play-offs, where his national team will try to book its first WC ticket after a 40-year absence, clashing with Italy and (in case of a triumph) the winner of the duel between Wales and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Therefore, Slot and his crew will have to adjust to life without Bradley, and their first challenge without him will be the penultimate game of the third round of the FA Cup, against third-tier side Barnsley tonight at Anfield (22.45).
