Liverpool have been in contact with the representatives of Aurelien Tchouameni over a potential transfer from Real Madrid.
According to Sacha Tavolieri, the Scousers remain in contact with the player after Los Blancos declared their willingness to sell Les Bleus' versatile midfielder.
Liverpool have been long admirers of Tchouameni. In 2022, before he decided to join Real Madrid, the Reds were heavily interested in bringing him to Anfield.
The 24-year-old is viewed as an ideal profile for Arne Slot's midfield as they look to recruit a defensive midfielder, with tha ability of covering several other positions, including the one in the defensive line.
Real Madrid would probably ask for the price of €60m in order to sell the midfielder. Tchouameni has been made available for sale by Madrid due to the other transfer targets being named.
Tavolieri reports that the sale of the defensive midfielder would allow the La Liga champions to apparently recruit Manchester City midfielder Rodri. Chelsea's Enzo Fernandez has been identified as a backup option should the Spanish capital club fail to sign the Ballon d'Or winner.
