The legendary Brazilian full-back has had enough...
Rome-based daily newspaper Il Messaggero reports that legendary former Roma full-back Marcos Evangelista Cafu has filed a lawsuit against the Giallorossi and Qatar Airways.
As per the report, the summons for a final attempt at conciliation is set for 17 November. Otherwise, the former footballer will take both the club and the airline to court for a multi-million dollar compensation for violating his image rights.

Apparently, the Brazilian star approved becoming the club's 'testimonial' - in the legend category - as part of the new sponsorship that the club, led at the time by James Pallotta, signed with Qatar Airways in 2019. The player flew to Warsaw and recorded a safety video that began to be broadcast and was waiting for updates from Roma.
However, his deal with the Giallorossi kept being postponed, and in August 2020, there was a change of ownership with the advent of the Friedkin family. Cafu waited for several more months as he did not want to make a legal move against a club that "has remained in his heart."
Having not received any response, he has now decided to take legal action in recent weeks and, considering the long period in which the commercial was broadcast (46 months) and the current remuneration the Brazilian receives for certain sponsorships, is ready to ask for compensation of €11.8 million.
