Stanley Wilson was lured by the Kariobangi Sharks, while Rashid Moyo signed with the Murang'a Seal. Nicholas Omondi moved to Ulinzi Stars, while Brian Wanyonyi also joined Talanta.
National Super League side Darajani Gogo have strengthened their goalkeeping department by acquiring Innocent Lihasi from Division One Zone A club the Zetetch University Titans.
Lihasi signed a year-long deal with Gogo, who are preparing for their second season in the NSL after the Caleb Aringa-coached side debuted last campaign.
Gogo beat top-tier sides Shabana and Luanda Villa to the services of the highly-rated goalkeeper, who demonstrated his quality in the third tier last season.
Lihasi, in an interview with Mozzart Sport, said he was aiming to keep the most clean sheets in the NSL despite being new to the competition.
"I have joined Gogo after I was impressed with the plans they have for the new season. There were approaches from other clubs, but Gogo presents a good platform for me. I hope to give my best and be the best goalkeeper in the league," he offered.
Gogo had to sign a goalkeeper after losing the experienced Isaiah Wakasala, who returned to FC Talanta for a second stint.
Wakasala kept a clean sheet when ten-man Talanta held AFC Leopards to a barren draw at the Nyayo National Stadium last Sunday.
Lihasi 23 further promised to help Gogo attain promotion at the end of the season.
"The top agenda is getting the team promoted. It is possible if everyone focuses and gives his best," he stated.
Gogo has the task of filling in the shoes left by some of last season's best players who joined top-flight clubs.
