Al-Hilal offer $33 million for the Serbian striker
Everyone will remain loyal and "keep believing in the project" - until the Saudis come around with a chest of gold. That's the reality, and we might as well accept it.
Al-Hilal continues its spending spree with a $33 million offer for Fulham's fan favourite Aleksandar Mitrovic. The Serbian striker has already told the London club he wants to leave and continue his career with the Asian heavyweights.
The 14 league goals the Serbian international scored last season helped Fulham place in the top half of the standings. Additionally, Mitrovic's goals were a significant factor in the West London club's two promotions from the Championship.
🚨 Aleksandar Mitrović is now the top target for Al-Hilal as a striker.

Since he joined the Cottagers in 2018, initially on loan from Newcastle United, the former Anderlecht and Partizan Belgrade striker has become a strong character at the club, a true fan favourite and, most importantly, a steady source of goals.
Al Hilal has been one of the busiest Saudi Arabian clubs in this transfer window - and has already claimed one major Premier League coup in Ruben Neves. The Portuguese midfielder, who was captain at Wolves, completed a $61 million move to the Pro League club this close season.
Should Mitrovic leave for the Arabic Peninsula, he would be reunited with his national team teammate Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, who is also on the verge of finalising a move to the club they like to refer to as "Real Madrid of Asia".
Money talks - and this is just one of the many similar stories we'll hear and read these days.
Reports in England suggest Fulham have refused the initial offer from the Saudis, insisting the Serb is not for sale. It goes on.
