Ousmane Dembele's early goal and Luis Enrique's tactical masterpiece neutralized the Bavarians and secured second consecutive UCL final for the Saints - 1-1
You can trick Luis Enrique once and score four against his team, but twice - it wasn’t going to happen!
Despite the expectations, unlike the clash eight days ago, which was an epic spectacle, tonight’s clash in Munich was more of a chess game between the two managers. And the Spaniard showed who is the master and who has much to learn.
Enrique proved that Paris Saint-Germain wasn’t just an exceptional front line, but also a sturdy defence, and a team made of players ready to scrape their knees to keep their net intact. When they failed, Matvey Safonov was there to pull off a save.
The key moment occurred in the third minute when Ousmane Dembele broke the deadlock and paved the way to the final for the Saints. Harry Kane managed to level in the dying minutes, but his goal was in vain, as the 1-1 draw sent PSG to the trophy match.
Bayern scored 172 goals this season in all competitions. Tonight, they were shut out by Enrique’s tactical masterpiece. Michael Olise and Kane seemed invisible, while Luis Diaz couldn’t do anything on his own.
The Saints can play defence and deservedly book their ticket to Budapest and their second consecutive Champions League final!

When Ousmane Dembele broke the deadlock only three minutes into the game, everyone at Allianz Arena and in front of their TVs was ready for another epic showdown.
However, the action started by Fabian Ruiz's fantastic pass, continued with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia's run, and finished with the Ballon d'Or winner's powerful effort turned out to be the only one to bring a goal in the first half.
Unlike the duel in Paris, the rivals were much more physical, responsible in defence, and keen on keeping their nets intact. But still, the crowd in Munich saw at least a half dozen chances.
Luis Diaz, Michael Olise, and Jonathan Tah seriously threatened Matvey Safonov, while Jamal Musiala wasted the best opportunity for the Bavarians minutes before the break when the Russian keeper stopped his close-range shot. Harry Kane was practically invisible.
On the other hand, the Saints were satisfied with their lead (6-4 on aggregate at that point) and were mainly waiting for counterattacks.
Yet, a long-range free kick secured them another colossal chance in the 34th minute, when Manuel Neuer pulled off an astonishing save, keeping Joao Neves' header out of his net.
In between all these opportunities, the nervous Bavarians demanded a penalty on several occasions as well as a second yellow card for Nuno Mendes, but the referee Joao Pinheiro remained unmoved by their appeals.
In the opening phase of the second period, the visitors were mostly focused on spoiling Bayern's attacks, but two sudden counterattacks ten minutes after the break produced two excellent chances. And once again, Neuer kept the home team's head above water after Desire Doue and Kvaratskhelia's strikes.
In the 64th minute, the same thing. Doue's outstanding run, precise shot, and another massive stop, made by the 40-year-old German in the Bavarians' goal. Eight days ago, he didn't make a single save. Tonight, he put in a stellar performance.

Neuer's reactions turned out to be the most notable moments in the final quarter of an hour, as the Parisians were closer to doubling their lead than Bayern to equalizing the score. Kane did make it 1-1 in the 94th minute, but it was way too late.
Enrique's tactical masterpiece at Allianz Arena practically shut out the team that scored 172 goals this season across all competitions and secured a statement win and another UCL final for PSG.
