After that Mount Everest-based World Cup, the German gaffer has another story worth our attention

You've probably noticed RB Leipzig's astronomic rise in the Bundesliga, which allowed them to reach the UEFA Champions League. And their presence there is much more than a cameo...

One of the key factors for such a success lies in Leipzig's tactician Marco Rose, who's been in charge of the team since September 2022. The charismatic 47-year-old never fails to deliver innovations to his tactics but also provides the press and public with straightforward statements that are impossible to ignore.

As we reported recently, Rose criticized FIFA for gifting the 2030 World Cup to none less than six countries. He concluded that we shouldn't be surprised, let alone shocked, if they decide to organize some of the World Cups in future at Mount Everest for lucrative reasons.

Now, Rose has shined again, this time talking about the international break and the fact Leipzig will miss 12 players on duties with their national teams these two weeks.

"We always talk about the international break. But with teams like us, who have over 80% internationals. They can't get out of the hamster wheel at all," Rose said after the 0-0 draw against VfL Bochum. "We've already noticed that there's a lack of freshness at the end."

During the September international duties, two of the most important Leipzigers, Dani Olmo and captain Willi Orban, picked up severe injuries and have not played a game since then.

"The most important thing will be seeing the guys return. I'm already knocking on wood there," Rose concluded.
