After 5-1 and 6-0 humiliations in their last two clashes, the Bulls arrive at Allianz Arena for the German Cup clash on Wednesday night (10.45 pm)
RB Leipzig walk back into the Allianz Arena tonight (10.45 pm) carrying heavy recent history.
In their last two meetings with Bayern Munich, the Bulls conceded 11 goals in just 180 minutes. A brutal 5-1 at home this January. An even more devastating 6-0 in Munich before that.
And now they return - for a DFB-Pokal quarter-final.
Leipzig travel to Munich without Assan Ouedraogo and Sulemana Sani, while Castello Lukeba remains a doubt. Bayern, meanwhile, have the luxury every coach dreams of: a fully fit squad. Vincent Kompany has confirmed rotation, but Manuel Neuer will start in goal.
If Leipzig were hoping Bayern might have slowed down, the weekend offered no comfort. The Bavarians crushed Hoffenheim 5-1. Leipzig beat Cologne 2-1, but only after ending a brief wobble in the Bundesliga.
The feeling in Munich is unmistakable: this isn't just form - it's momentum. And then there's the firepower.
The Bavarian goal-machine is grinding through everything again this season. The Supercup is already secured. The Bundesliga title is within reach. The Pokal is the next step. And above all stands the ultimate obsession - the Champions League trophy by June. Harry Kane leads the charge with 24 Bundesliga goals.
Michael Olise glides past defenders and tops the assist charts. But the real accelerant has been Luis Diaz.
The Colombian signing from Liverpool has exploded in Germany: 13 league goals, nine assists, 18 in all competitions - just four shy of his career-best tally. Only Kane has scored more for Bayern. Only Olise has assisted more. And only Olise has recorded more sprints in the league.
Diaz doesn't just play - he destabilises his enemies.
"As a defender, you think you have the ball - and then Luis changes direction," Kompany said. "He's smart, but he loves chaos. You never know what he'll do. That's what makes him dangerous."
Bayern are not just winning. They are accelerating.
And Leipzig, after 11 goals conceded in their last two encounters, now steps back into the storm.
