Blackburn convincingly defeated at home (4-1)

Leicester's season to forget is slowly falling into the shadow of the victories in the second division and the fact that the Foxes are returning to the elite with a sure step. The team that seven years ago sat on the throne of the Premier League, and only a year ago defended the honor of England in Europe all the way to the semi-finals of the Conference League, today, visiting Blackburn, confirmed that they have strayed into the Championship and with a convincing victory (4-1) they sit alone at the top of the table.

In a battle of lowered guards, Leicester opened the scoring in the 4th minute through Wout Faes, but the joy of the guests was spoiled just five minutes later by Sammie Szmodics, who confirmed his phenomenal form with the sixth goal of the season.

Nevertheless, the audience at Ewood Park was convinced that Leicester also have their aiming devices set up when in the 28th minute Jamie Vardy was accurate after Ndidi assisted him. Center forward of the Foxes broke the home team's resistance with his fourth goal of the season and announced his team's eighth victory.

Motivated to avoid a fifth league defeat, Blackburn's players tried to neutralize the deficit for the second time, but all their dreams were crushed by a penalty in the 82nd minute, which Iheanacho converted into a goal, while Dewsbury-Hall finished off the rival with a goal in the 88th minute.

With a convincing victory, Leicester took advantage of Ipswich's draw and took the top of the Championship, while Blackburn fell to 10 points with their fifth defeat of the season and in a situation that will certainly be a reason to sound the alarm at Ewood Park.
