Former Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa is reportedly 'very close' to becoming the new manager of the Uruguayan national team.
Argentinian outlet TyC Sports have reported that the 67-year-old is on the verge of closing a deal with his South American neighbours.

Bielsa is expected to sign a contract until the end of the South American qualifiers, with the possibility of extending his deal until the 2026 World Cup.
The iconic manager has been out of work since his sacking from Leeds in February 2022.
He has been linked with several clubs since his Elland Road departure but recently turned down the chance to take over at Premier League rivals Everton.
Uruguay would be the third South American nation he has managed. Bielsa was in charge of his native Argentina between 1998 and 2005, and also spent four years as Chile's boss.
