Lautaro to score, Thuram to assist, Inter to win
Reading Time: 2min | Sun. 22.10.23. | 11:08
Inter Milan again showed that they are the most serious candidates for Serie A title
With a convincing victory and a dominant game in Turin, Inter not only returned to the leading position of Serie A but also showed character traits typical of serious championship teams at the Turin Olympic Stadium - 3:0 (0:0). Lautaro Martinez is finding the back of the net in more dominant fashion than ever in his career, but it's safe to say that the key factor in the championship fight for Simone Inzaghi's side could be Marcus Thuram. The former Borussia Mönchengladbach player has scored four goals this season (three in Serie A) and provided seven assists.

Lautaro reached the figure of 11 goals, so it seems that he could easily surpass the figure of 21 goals, which he scored in the previous two seasons of the Italian championship. Torino resisted for an hour, and at the end of the first half, the home team managed to pull ahead through Pellegrini and Dembe Sekko. However, in the sequel, everything was put in place. Denzel Dumfries played an important role in Thuram's goal, with characteristic penetration and a timely pass, while eight minutes later, Acherbi shined with a cross which was precisely used by Lautaro. Those moments swept away any uncertainty in this match, with Hakan Calhanoglu scoring from the penalty spot in stoppage time. Iner will remain first, only if Milan does not defeat Juventus tomorrow in the big derby, and in the next round, they will face Roma at Giuseppe Meazza.
