Last call for Nkunku: Milan ready to listen and sell him in January

A brace against Verona is not enough to silence doubts as the Rossoneri weigh a historic offer from Istanbul
Just two days after scoring his first Serie A goals - a brace against Verona - Christopher Nkunku is once again at the centre of debate in Milan. The timing is no coincidence. A lucrative offer from Fenerbahce is already on the table, and with Niclas Fullkrug's arrival now sealed, the Rossoneri are increasingly tempted to listen.
With the German striker in and Rafael Leao back fit, Massimiliano Allegri believes his attacking options are covered for the short term.
Letting Nkunku go would mean returning to the market for another forward, especially with Santiago Gimenez sidelined until at least mid-February. However, at San Siro, that is seen as a smaller risk than losing value on an asset whose price is unlikely to rise.
The verdict inside the club is blunt: Nkunku has not lived up to expectations in his first six months, and there is little confidence that a real breakthrough is coming.
At 28, time is not on his side. This may be the last chance to cash in.
"Three goals, two in the league, one in the cup, are still far from enough," writes Gazzetta dello Sport.
"Nkunku's true confirmation at Milan has not yet arrived, and it remains uncertain whether it ever will. January surprises cannot be ruled out, especially considering that Fenerbahce's offer almost fully covers the €37 million paid to Chelsea just four months ago."
From Fenerbahce's perspective, the deal would be historic. Nkunku would become the most expensive signing in the club's history, a statement move in their desperate attempt to end a title drought that has lasted over a decade. The key link is well known: Domenico Tedesco. Under him at RB Leipzig, Nkunku played the best football of his career and finished as Bundesliga top scorer, after being moved closer to goal.
For now, Nkunku's own stance on a move to Istanbul remains unclear.
Meanwhile, as Milan weigh their options, club legend Cafu has thrown a new name into the mix: Rayan Vitor, a 19-year-old talent from Vasco da Gama.
"An incredible talent. I'd bet on him without hesitation," Cafu said.
"He's fast, decisive one-on-one, creative, and can play left, right or centrally. Milan wouldn't make a mistake."
Easier said than done, though. Vasco recently rejected a €31 million offer from Zenit, Bayern Munich are monitoring the player closely, and a January move of that scale would be a major gamble.
For Milan, the crossroads is clear: sell Nkunku now, or risk losing both time and money later.
