Kroos and Asensio projectiles see off Inter, Sheriff is in the Europa League

Real defeated Inter 2-0 while Sheriff drew in Ukraine 1-1
Carlo Ancelotti is still too good for Simone Inzaghi. But so are Real player compared to Inter’s. And in the fourth coaching duel between the two Italians, the far more experienced came out as the winner again. The first two times were in the duels between Lazio (Inzaghi) and Napoli (Ancelotti), and this season in the clashes between Inter and Real Madrid. After September's 1-0 in Milan, the Royal Club celebrated in the last match of the group stage of the Champions League, this time 2-0 at its Santiago Bernabeu. Inzaghi tried to surpise Ancelotti, he ordered an attack from the start, but Marcelo Brozovic’s shot went a little over the goal in the 7th minute, and Carvajal blocked Ivan Perišić in the 12th minute. And then came the punishment. From only the second attack, after Vinicius' miss, Tony Cross struck. The German tightened his left leg from twenty meters, beat Samir Handanović and scored 1,000 goal for Real in the Champions League.
In the second half, things got worse for Inter. All four changed which Inzaghi made during the next 45 minutes didn’t work, and when Nicolo Barella got the red card, it was over. So over, that Ancelotti substituted Rodrigo and Kroos, knowing that Real cannot be beaten. And he was right. In the 79th minute, all hope for Inter was gone when Asensio struck a beauty for the final score.
Sheriff is definitely a surprise of tournament so far. After defeating Real at Santiago Bernabeu, Moldavian champion defeated Shakhtar at home and last night drew in Ukraine to finish third. The Moldavians will play in the European League in 2022, while Shakhtar end their European quest embarrassed. Roberto De Zerbi did wonders with Sassuolo last season in Serie A, but did not manage to do anything in Europe, with a squad much stronger than Sheriff’s.
