Kirinyaga Stars buzzing ahead of FKF Division Two play off

Kirinyaga Stars, the champions of FKF Division Two Eastern Zone B, are adamant of a win ahead of a crucial promotion play off match against Kabati Youth on Saturday at Mumbi Stadium, Murang'a.
Stars booked a place in the mini league after an impressive run in their pooling to emerge at the summit of the league on 59 points eight ahead of second placed Samwest Blackboots FC.

However, the Bees quest for promotion to the third tier was delayed after a case by the runners up - Samwest - over the club for fielding an ineligible player, forcing the two giants to squire out in a replay match that Kirinyaga dismantled the fourth tier money bags 5-4 on post match penalties to book a date with Kabati Youth.
Having successfully defended their champions status, the Bees as fondly known in the environs, have all the intentions of knocking out Zone D winners Kabati and advance to FKF Division One Zone A for the upcoming season.
Speaking to Mozzart Sport, Kirinyaga tactician Sylvester Odero expressed confidence in his troops to conquer the play off as they have in the league.
"I have confidence in these boys, for the hard work endured to reach at this level, and with the many challenges we faced on the road, I feel they are ready for the task," said the club administrator.
"The replay match triumph proved that it was not a fluke but a string of hard work and dedication by the team," added Odero.
Furthermore, the expert urged fans to take advantage of the play off being staged in the region and flood Mumbi Stadium to give the much needed support on the match day.
"Going to the playoffs vs Kabati Youth is huge for both of us, it is a huge win for the region. Whoever wins will be a win for all of our people. I appeal to the fans of both camps to show up in large numbers as we take this historic football galore," he concluded.
