Kings have sharpened spears for England led by Mbappe and Bellingham

Real Madrid comfortably defeated Valencia 3–0 with goals from Mbappe and Bellingham, heading into Tuesday’s clash with Liverpool in high spirits

In just the first half, Real Madrid took 13 shots toward Valencia’s goal — nine on target, and three found the back of the net. When Los Blancos are in that kind of form, they’re simply unstoppable. Their opponent, a relegation-zone side, never came close. And if Xabi Alonso’s men repeat a similar performance on Tuesday at Anfield, it’s hard to see how Liverpool could match them.

After three first-half goals, the night was capped off by a stunning strike from Carreras near the end — a fierce diagonal hit in true Roberto Carlos style — sealing a routine 4–0 victory and an eight-point lead over Barcelona before their Sunday match against Elche.

The scoreline could have been even more convincing had Vinicius Junior not missed a penalty for the second consecutive time against Valencia. Back in April, Mamardashvili saved his attempt, and this time it was Agirrezabala who denied him.

The visiting keeper even reacted superbly on the rebound when Arda Guler followed up, but less than a minute later, Jude Bellingham fired a precise shot from the edge of the box into the corner for 3–0. The goal is HERE!

The Englishman had waited over ten rounds for his first league goal of the season, and now he’s scored in three straight matches — against Juventus, Barcelona, and Valencia — hitting top form at the perfect time, which spells extra danger for Liverpool.

Before Bellingham’s strike, it was Kylian Mbappe who netted twice. The Frenchman’s form remains astonishing: after a brief adjustment period following his move from PSG, he’s been relentless ever since.

With goals in the 19th minute (from the penalty spot - the goal is HERE) and the 31st (a brilliant volley assisted by Guler - the goal is HERE), Mbappe now has 44 goals in 45 La Liga appearances. He could have had another tonight for a goal-per-game average, but he unselfishly let Vinicius take the second penalty — a clear sign of harmony within the team despite the miss.

Unlike many coaches who prefer to rest key players before major European clashes, Xabi Alonso went with his strongest lineup against Valencia: CourtoisValverde, Militao, Hojlund, CarrerasGuler, Tchouameni, Bellingham Mastantuono, Mbappe, Vinicius. Off the bench came Ceballos, Camavinga, Asensio, Rodrygo, and the returning Endrick, making his first appearance since the penultimate round of last season, playing just over ten minutes.

There had been plenty of talk after El Clasico about Vinicius’ reaction when substituted — an incident that led to a warning from the club — but tonight’s display proved that everything in the Madrid dressing room has been smoothed over. A perfect performance, and the ideal warm-up before their trip to England.
