At the summit, league leaders Mombasa United suffered a significant setback after falling to a clinical Kibera Black Stars side, while at the opposite end of the table, a new dawn began at Darajani Gogo, where newly appointed head coach Ken Kenyatta inspired an immediate turnaround with a crucial victory over Kabati Youth.
Kibera Black Stars 2-0 Mombasa United
At Gems Cambridge, Kibera Black Stars delivered one of the standout performances of the day, overpowering table-toppers Mombasa United with a commanding 2-0 victory on home soil.

As the match edged towards its conclusion, Phoelix Mboya struck at the death to seal a memorable win and spark celebrations among the home faithful.
The victory proved significant for the Kibera-based outfit, who climbed to 45 points, narrowing the gap to third-placed Equity FC to just seven points and firmly inserting themselves into the promotion conversation.
Beyond the points, the win carried added significance as the Rubis Energy-backed side avenged their first-leg defeat by an identical scoreline in Mombasa.
However, for Mombasa United, under the stewardship of Gilbert Selebewa, the defeat could hardly have come at a worse time.
The dropped points leave them clinging to a slender three-point lead at the top, with second-placed Migori Youth still holding a game in hand.
With the Mozzart Bet-backed side set to face Naivas FC on Sunday, 12 April, the title race could take yet another twist should they draw level at the summit.
FC Talanta 2-1 Mwatate United
Elsewhere, at Dandora Stadium, FC Talanta revived their campaign with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Mwatate United in an early noon kickoff.
Goals from Lucas Asiko and an own goal by Mwatate proved decisive, as the Communications Authority of Kenya (CAK)-backed side ended a three-match winless run.
The result lifts Talanta to ninth place on 40 points, rekindling hopes of a late push for a return to top-flight football.
For Mwatate United, however, the defeat deepens their woes that have been their story all season long.
Remaining third from bottom on 21 points, their survival hopes continue to hang in the balance, with each passing fixture increasing the urgency to escape the relegation zone.
Darajani Gogo 2-0 Kabati Youth
At the Marist Grounds in Karen, Darajani Gogo registered a vital 2-0 victory over Kabati Youth, marking a turning point in their season.
The win, their first of the year, came just hours after the appointment of veteran tactician Ken Kenyatta, whose immediate impact has breathed new life into the struggling side.
The result sees Gogo move to 27 points, level with both Kabati Youth and Kisumu All Stars, significantly boosting their chances of mounting a late survival push with 10 matches remaining.
For Kabati Youth, the defeat compounds their struggles, marking back-to-back losses at a critical juncture.
What could have been a decisive step towards safety instead turns into a missed opportunity, leaving them entangled in a tense relegation scrap as the league approaches its final stretch.
