
Kericho Rovers set to acquire Muhoroni Young's slot in merger deal

Division Two Central Zone side Kericho Rovers are set to complete to seal the takeover of division one outfit Muhoroni Young after the two sides agreed on a merger, Mozzart sport can exclusively report
Confirming the developments Rovers chairman James Olweny said that all necessary documentations had been finalized ahead of hand over this Saturday
"We have reached an agreement to acquire Muhoroni Young as from next season, we met the other team in Naivasha on Saturday after which we signed partnership deals together," offered Olweny
Rovers, who finished fourth in the just concluded division two central zone, are looking to hit the ground running immediately after finalizing on the acquisition process
"It has been a pretty quick process and we need to hit the ground running because things are getting under way and we need to catch up with other teams as soon as possible," said Olweny
Muhoroni Young who are under the stewardship of Moses Adagala, have been struggling financially in the current season that is nearing conclusion and hence, the move to sale the slot.
The Got Alila based team will shift their camp to Kericho Green Stadium from Muhoroni Stadium as soon as the deal is completed
Kericho Rovers are hoping to secure promotion to the National Super League promotion in their first season in the third tier with a recruitment drive expected in the coming weeks.
