Kenya's Highway Secondary in Group H for World School Championships set for Morocco

The global showpiece is set to be held from 22 July to 31 July 2023 in Rabat, Morocco.

Kenya's Highway Secondary School football team has been placed in Group H of the upcoming World School championships.

The global showpiece is set to be held from 22 July to 31 July 2023 in Rabat, Morocco.

Highway are in the same group as schools from Bulgaria, Saudi Arabia, and Lebanon according to the draw held in Rabat on Thursday..

Under the tutelage of current Mathare United team manager Beldine Odemba, Highway went all the way to the final of the 2022 Federation of East Africa Secondary School Sports Association (FEASSSA) Games where they lost 2-0 to Uganda's Kibuli S.S.

While Kenya is set to send just one team, Uganda are set to send three in football, two in the boys category and one in the girls. Amus College will join Kibuli in the boys category while St Noa Girls Zzana will be the only representative from the East Africa region in the girls category.

Apart from Kenya and Uganda, the other countries in Africa that will be participating include the host Morocco, Guinea, Benin, Nigeria, and Cote d’Ivoire.

Kibuli S.S are in Group E together with schools from Qatar, China 1, and Ivory Coast.

On the other hand, Amus College are in group A alongside France, Chile, and Nepal.
