Osoro moved to Spain after being spotted in a tournament in Bahati, Nakuru

Kenyan midfielder Leon Osoro has kickstarted life in Spain with Alicante City FC Football Academy on high, managing to score in the three matches that he has played for the academy's U19 side.

The 18-year-old blanked only in his first match for the club but went on to score in consecutive matches for the club including bagging a brace on Sunday as his side hammered Mutxamel CF 'B' 6-0.

Osoro moved to Spain earlier this year after being spotted during a tournament held in Nakuru's Bahati area and graced by former Tusker FC midfielder David Kenga of Elite Soccer Training in South Carolina and coach Bob Oyugi of Education in Sports Academy in Nairobi.

Speaking in March following his move, Osoro expressed his delight at joining Alicante City FC establishment, terming it a perfect place for young people hoping to become professional players.

“I’m very happy to be here (Alicante FC). This is a quiet city and people at the academy are very friendly. It is a great place for anyone hoping to be a professional footballer,” Osoro is quoted on Standard Sports in an interview.

The U19s side is currently third on the 15-team log with 19 points after seven matches.
