Kenyan midfielder switches clubs in the US

Tobias joins another third tier side in the US.

Kenyan midfielder, Tobias Otieno has switched clubs in the US. He had joined the third-tier side, Tormenta FC from fellow USL One side, Union Omaha.

Otieno has been with Omaha for the last two years after joining the club from Gor Mahia and established himself as a key player for the club. He found the back of the net a couple of times for the club.

He has now switched homes, joining the club that was founded seven years ago. The Georgia State based club play their matches at the 3500-seater Eagle field.

"Tormenta have been pursuing him for a while and presented an irresistible offer. They also offer him a good development path and he's excited to join the club," a source close to the player told Mozzart Sport.

Otieno, a Kenya U23 international started his career at the Sony Sugar FC youth team. He then earned his promotion to the senior side and went on to establish himself at the club. In 2019, Gor Mahia came calling and he joined the club, he featured for the side for half a season before migrating to the US to join Omaha.
