Ogam joins the third tier side for an undisclosed period of time.

National Super League new boys Rainbow FC have announced the departure of captain Ryan Ogam to UAE third-tier side Elite Falcons for an undisclosed period of time.

Ogam, a midfielder, played a key role in the team’s promotion to the National Super League last season, and he now departs a few days before the 2023–24 season starts. The new season commences on Saturday afternoon.

The club has released a statement confirming the exit of the left-footed player, an alumnus of Dagoretti High School who acquired him from record national champions Kakamega High School.

"Exciting news, everyone! Our very own Ryan Wesley Ogam is taking his talent to new heights as he joins Elite Falcons FC in Dubai, UAE," read the statement released by the club in part.

The Eric Macharia-led team went ahead to laud the player for the key role he played on the team during his time there.

"Ryan has left an indelible mark on our club. His dedication, team spirit, and remarkable talent made him a fan favorite and will forever be a part of our club's history.

As he spreads his wings and heads to the UAE, we're certain that he will continue to elevate and make us all proud. Join us in congratulating Rayan on his career move".

He becomes the third Kenyan player to cross over to the Falcons. Last year, Rooney Onyango moved to the club for six months before returning to Kenya in June. He has since joined Gor Mahia FC.

Former Rainbow defender Faiz Ouma, who was with the club last year and part of this year, is currently in the UK for trials.
