Rangers is eager to fill in the void should Filip leave the club and have identified the Kenyan International as its first transfer target.

Okumu signing could be bad for Edmundson
Rangers have been linked with a move for Joseph Okumu recently and if he were to join, it could prove to be the end of George Edmundson’s time at Ibrox.https://t.co/oYYiMsUmZH #rangerfc #ranger
Rangers legend Alan Hutton has also thrown his weight behind the club's interest in Okumu saying he trusts its scouting team who have an eye for special talent and have always unearthed gems.
Okumu moved to Elfsborg in 2019 from U.S second-tier side Real Monarch and has since established himself as a regular at the club. He is known for being calm at the back and for his perfect long passes. He was named the club's Breakthrough Player of the Season in 2020.
It's an honour, yesterday at the @IFElfsborg1904 gala I was recognized and awarded the Breakthrough player for the 2020 season.

According to a reliable source, a bid of close to Ksh 300,000,00 for the services of Okumu has been tabled to Elfsborg who are also reviewing offers from several other clubs.
