Mathew Tegisi announced himself in style at his new club after scoring twice to inspire Singida Black Stars to a commanding 4-1 victory over Mogadishu City in the CECAFA Kagame Cup, handing the Tanzanian side their first win of this year's tournament.

The Kenyan forward, who recently completed his move to Singida Black Stars, opened his scoring account for the club with a clinical brace as the reigning Kagame Cup champions bounced back to revive their hopes of retaining the regional title.
Tegisi wasted little time making his mark, breaking the deadlock in the 16th minute to give Singida an early advantage.
The former Shabana FC striker continued to trouble the Mogadishu City defence throughout the contest before completing his brace after the break, capping an impressive individual display that underlined why the Tanzanian outfit invested in the Kenyan attacker.
The former Pamba Jiji FC forward was at the heart of Singida's attacking play as the defending champions comfortably cruised to victory, with his goals and another brace from Henry David in the first half laying the foundation for an emphatic 4-1 triumph.
Naby Bangoura scored the consolation goal in the 10th minute, as the result marked Singida Black Stars' first victory in Group B after a difficult start to their title defence.

The three points lifted the Tanzanian side to second place in the standings, although their position remains subject to the outcome of the other group fixture involving Jamus FC and Simba SC.
