Waweru received a red card in the last clash while Omolo's future in Turkey continues to be up for debate.

Kenyan defender Daniel Anyembe clocked 90 minutes as his Viborg side suffered a 3-1 thumping at the hands of FC Midtjylland while Johanna Omolo and Wilson Waweru missed Kocaelispor and Galway United’s matches respectively.

Daniel Anyembe

The Kenyan right-back was handed another start as his 10-man Viborg side fell 3-1 to FC Midtjylland in the Danish Super League.

It only took 11 minutes for Midtjylland to open the scoring through Nikolas Dyhr who buried the ball into the back of the net after Joel Andersson put the ball on a plate for him.

Viborg’s torrid start to the game extended as Midtjylland doubled their lead 10 minutes later through Brazilian midfielder Evander.

Evander put the game to bed in the 24th minute as he sealed his brace to extend his goal tally to seven this season.

Jay-Roy Grot pulled one back for Viborg a minute before the halftime whistle to hand them faint hopes of mounting a comeback in the closing stanza.

Mads Lauritsen was sent for an early shower in the 72nd minute for a second bookable offence but Viborg managed to hold on to the 3-1 scoreline.

Wilson Waweru

The Kenyan midfielder missed Galway United’s 2-2 draw against Waterford after he was suspended for picking up a red card in the last clash against Cork City in the Irish Premier League.

Junior Quitirna and Eddie Nolan handed Waterford a commanding lead at half time but Jordan Adeyemo and Stephen Walsh restored parity for Galway as Richard Taylor was handed his marching orders for Waterford in the 85th minute.

Johanna Omolo

The Kenyan international missed the Kocaelispor matchday squad that edged Keciorengucu 1-0 in the Turkish second tier.

The Kocaelispor lone goal was scored by Rasheed Ibrahim Akanbi right at the depth of the game to secure all three points in the clash.
