The academy was represented in the tournament by both their U13 and U11 boys, who departed Kenya on Thursday, 10 July.
The Legacy U13 team had an impressive run and performance in the annual summer tourney held in Gothenburg, Sweden, but suffered a narrow defeat to FC Stockholm International.
The highly contested match ended in a 1-1 draw in regular time before the Swedish side overcame their Kenyan counterparts 4-3 on post-match penalties.
Despite a strong performance and a hard-fought draw in regular time, Legacy Academy bowed out in the semi-finals after a narrow 4-3 loss in the penalty shootout.
"Proud of the team’s effort and spirit," read a post on Legacy's Instagram handle.
The U13 side qualified for the semi-finals after a 2-1 win over German side FC Teutonia, preceded by a 3-0 victory over Tunisian side AS Marsa in the Round of 16.
Elsewhere, the U11 side proceeded to the quarter finals after a 1-0 victory over French side FC Vileness Orgeval.
Legacy has been representing the country in the prestigious summer tournament for over three years in a bid to expose upcoming players to the highest levels of international standards.
The academy boasts top coaches in the country, including former Harambee Stars tactician Stanley Okumbi and Kenya U17 and U20 women's head coach Mildred Cheche.
Additionally, the academy is home to many upcoming and grassroots coaches, including Mercy Onyango, who is currently heading the Mathare Youth Sports Association (MYSA) U14 ladies team, which is in Oslo, Norway, for the ongoing Norway Cup.
Legacy's Cheche was also part of the FIFA Elite Mentorship Programme that took place in Zurich, Switzerland, from Wednesday, 16 July to Friday, 18 July.
The global initiative brought together rising coaching talent with world-class mentors to share knowledge and sharpen skills.
