The law enforcers, in the recently-concluded campaign, failed to defend the league title, before finishing as runners up in the 2026 Mozzart Bet Cup, following a 2-1 defeat to Tusker FC.
Speaking during the Kenya Police Gala Awards dinner held at a Nairobi Hotel on Tuesday 7 July, Munga issued irreducible minimums for the team ahead of the new season.
“We finished third in the FKFPL. This will never happen again. I am not going to lead a club that competes for second, third or those lower positions. We have put everything in place and must win the league and the Mozzart Bet Cup,” said Munga.
Munga, who is a Senior Assistant Inspector General of Police (SAIG), and Commandant of the Kenya Police Main Campus, Kiganjo went ahead to insist that he will be demanding for maximum points throughout the season.
“There are no two ways about it. We are going for nothing less than a double. No jokes about that. From the first match of the season to the end, the only result I expect is a win,” he added.
To achieve the team’s target, Munga went ahead to reveal that the club is engaged in robust changes to the playing unit, in order to make the club more competitive.
“I have already had lengthy discussions with the patron and Deputy Patron on the need to improve the team through new signings and we will make that happen," he said.
Further, the experienced administrator expressed his confidence and joy with the ladies team, Kenya Police Bullets.
“For the Bullets, I have no problem with them. They know how to do it, and will do the needful,” he noted.
