Bandari winger cleared to start light training after five month-recovery process.

Bandari winger Shaban Kenga will resume training on Monday after recovering from a fractured limb. Kenga suffered the career threatening injury in January during a league match against Western Stima at the Mbaraki grounds and was consequently ruled out for four months.

The experienced midfielder who doubles up as the club’s assistant captain says he has been cleared by the doctor to resume light to training starting on Monday after the limb gained its shape and energy.

The doctor says I am free to begin light training on Monday. I haven’t experienced pain from the time I did away with the crutches and comfortably carry on with my daily activities. I will just be cautious in training as I haven’t gotten over the fear and trauma inflicted by the horrible challenge,” he revealed.

Kenga who renewed his stay at the club in November last year however remained tight lipped on the expected date of return to active football.

The former Gor Mahia man expressed hope of getting a clean bill of health in the final date with the doctor in August.

I can’t tell the exact day I will be available for selection. The doctor will examine me again in August and hopefully, he will confirm my readiness as far as taking part in competitive football is concerned,” he added.

Bandari face a title chasing KCB on Sunday at the Ruaraka grounds.
