Ian Motanda and Moses Odhiambo will leave KCB at the end of the month.

FKF Premier League title hopefuls KCB FC are set to part ways with winger Ian Motanda and defender Moses Odhiambo when their contracts expire at the end of the month, Mozzart Sport can exclusively report.

The two players joined the Bankers in mid-2019 from Kisumu All-Stars but failed to nail their place in the team. Motanda was sparingly used by Coach Zedekiah Otieno while Odhiambo has not made any competitive appearance for the team largely due to a niggling knee injury and being out of form.

KCB moved with speed to secure the duo’s signature in 2019 after they helped Kisumu All-Stars earn a promotion to the FKF Premier League. What initially looked like a sweet deal proved to be suicidal career-wise due to the limited playtime they saw at KCB.

The club has now opted against offering them new deals. A credible source from the club has now confirmed that the two will leave the club at the end of the month.

The two will leave at the end of the month. Their contracts expire at the end of the month and the club is not going to offer them new deals,” a source from the club told Mozzart Sport.

The club is also in the process of tying down a few players whose contracts expire at the end of the month.

There are a number of players whose deals expire soon and we are in talks with them. We hope to tie them down soon because they are key players in the team who we do not want to lose,” the source further revealed.

KCB is currently second in the FKF Premier League log with 36 points after 18 rounds of league matches. They are two points behind league leaders Tusker FC. They are firmly in the title race and are also keen on being on top of the log by 30th June when the CAF Champions League representative will be decided.
