"It feels good to back", the Nzoia Sugar forward declared after featuring against AFC Leopards
Nzoia Sugar attacker Cliff Kasuti is happy to be back in action after managing to shake off a niggling calf issue that kept him out of action for many months.
Kasuti featured for Nzoia against AFC Leopards over the weekend, he played for 45 minutes before he got replaced by Felicien Okanda after the interval. Prior to that, his last league action was the 2-1 defeat in the hands of Vihiga United on 13th December 2020 at Mumias.
The former Bandari FC, Sofapaka, and Ulinzi Stars forward is elated to be fit again and is looking forward to featuring more for the Ibrahim Shikanda coached outfit.
“It feels good to be back after such a long time. It has been a tough journey but I am grateful that I can play football again and I am looking forward to contributing to the team,” he told Mozzart Sport.

Kasuti however acknowledges that he is not yet fully ready and has promised to work hard in order to feature more for the team.
“I am still not fully ready. I will have to work really hard in training in matches to ensure I hit top level again. I enjoyed the playtime I got on Saturday but I know that I have to work harder because I want to play more and contribute positively to the success of the team,” he added.
Nzoia is currently 14th in the log and he says they will have to improve soonest to change their fortunes.
“We are not in a good position and we have to start winning again soon, the target is to finish in the top ten positions and that means we will have to work really hard. We have a talented group of hardworking players and I am confident that we will achieve the team’s targets,” he added.
The Millers’ next match will be against Mathare United at home.
