The player believes that Seal have what it takes to sustain their positive start throughout he season.
Murang’a Seal forward Titus Kapchanga is relieved to have opened his goal account in the Football Kenya Federation Premier League after scoring last weekend to hand his side maximum points against Kakamega Homeboyz.
Kapchanga netted the sole goal as Seal beat Homeboyz 1-0 at the St. Sebastian Park to extend their one hundred percent record in the season.
Seal are having a dream start in their debut season in the top flight as the club has won two of their opening matches to sit at the summit with six points.
The Gikuu-based club kicked off the campaign with a 1-0 win over the returning Shabana two weeks ago and served Homeboyz a similar dose last weekend where the forward was the hero.
The goal meant a lot for the player as it was his first in the competition and the second for the club in the top flight.
It also relieved him the pressure of waiting for his first goal in the league as he failed to score during his brief stints with Nzoia Sugar and Kariobangi Sharks.
“I am happy to have scored my first goal in the top flight. It is a huge relieve for me as I had waited for it for longer. It was a great feeling to score late in the game and hand my team maximum points as well,” he said.
Kapchanga joined Seal in February after parting ways with Sharks whom he made few appearances for.
He played a massive role in helping Seal secure promotion as he scored crucial goals in the second leg. The club was promoted alongside Shabana who won the National Super League.
Kapchanga believes that Seal have what it takes to sustain the positive start throughout.
“We have good players and what it takes to have a successful campaign. Many didn’t expect us to start well but our collective efforts have placed the team at the top. We will endeavor to give our best throughout,” he added.
