Kante reveals Chelsea players weren't prepared for the news of Abramovich's exit

Thundering and lightning. That's a perfect way to describe the ongoing situation at Stamford Bridge amid Roman Abramovich's selling the club.

It seemed like a snap decision, and it actually was. At least that's a conclusion after one of the most prominent Blues, N'golo Kante, explained the players were shocked.

He, however, told Sky Sports that the players have 'no control' over the matter of finding a new owner.

"It's something we were not prepared for, it came quickly. But the only thing we can do, because we don't control these things, is to do the best that we have always done.

"Which means that playing football at best [possible level], for us, for the club, for the fans and see how the things are going and it's the only thing we can control."

Tuchel: "It's a massive change of course"

Chelsea, third in the English top-flight with 50 points from 25 matches, takes on Burnley on Saturday.

"We are in a good position for the top four, we are fully focused on going game by game and securing that," the French player said.

"It will not be easy as we still need to win many games, but we train hard and hope to do it, starting this weekend."
