The 26-year old halved the deficit in the 74th minute before restoring parity for his side five minutes later.
Kamau joined Wanderers in 2018 from Melbourne City where he had spent two seasons, scoring four goals in 42 appearances.
Prior to his stint with Melbourne City, he had plied his trade with Adelaide United who acquired him from Adelaide Olympic following his impressive goal returns between 2012- 2014.

Elsewhere, Harambee Stars central defender Brian Mandela made a cameo when South African champions Mamelodi Sundowns saw off Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila 3-1 at the Peter Mokaba Stadium.
Mandela came deep into stoppage time, replacing Peter Shalulile as Sundowns sought to hold on the lead.
The former African champions had to rally from a goal down after Tshakhuma went ahead in the 18th minute through Rudolph Thembisani.
Rivaldo Coetzee leveled matters for Sundowns in the dying minutes of the first half before Sphelele Mkhulise hit the back of the net in the 69th minute to double the scores.
Veteran forward Sibusiso Vilakazi drove the final nail into Tshakhuma's coffin after forcing the ball past the line in the 81st minute.
