Homeboyz are currently struggling in the league and are winless in the last five games

Kakamega Homeboyz have announced the signing of five new players with just under a week left before the FKF Premier League transfer window closes.

Homeboyz are currently struggling in the league and are winless in the last five games. Pressure is slowly piling up on coach Patrick Odhiambo, who led the club to a Mozzart Bet Cup last season, the club's only piece of silverware in their over one decade of existence.

Coach Odhiambo has now brought on board some new arsenal to get better performances in the remainder of the campaign that concludes in June.

Leading the newly recruited players is the immediate former KCB FC attacker, Nicholas Kipkirui.

The striker joins the club on the Bosman rule after the expiry of his contract with the Bankers. Kipkirui is a former Zoo FC, Gor Mahia, and Nairobi City Stars player, and he is one of the men who will be tasked with getting the club goals.

Other forwards joining the team are Oliver Majaka, who has been acquired from St. Peters Mumias. The youngster trained with Homeboyz for over a month before appending his signature to the contract.

Also returning to the club is striker Levis Opiyo, who was on self-exile in the first leg of the current campaign, and he will be hoping to finally hit the ground running after more than a year since Homeboyz signed him from Nzoia Sugar FC.

The club has also acquired the services of midfielder Fredrick Otieno, who has been training with the club for weeks now. Otieno has been signed from the National Super League side, Vihiga Bullets.

Completing the list is utility man John Omondi, who has been signed from FKF Division One side, Compel FC. Omondi is a former Kariobangi Sharks man.

Other players expected to join the club are Salim Odeka from Geita Gold, Nzoia Sugar’s Salim Murunga, and Glen Masava of MOFA FC.
