There are number of suitors for the Argentinian
A player swamp. That’s what the football world has come to these days. With no stadium incomes due to the Covid-19 pandemic and clubs losing a lot of money, this is an alternative to giving a lot of money for your future starts, and even worse, giving a lot of money for players who will eventually be flops, either because of bad judgment or just injuries (Coutinho, Eden Hazard, etc.).
Juventus is currently listening to offers for Paulo Dybala and will do the swamp with the interested clubs, if necessary. According to reports in the Italian media, the Argentinian and his agent have received an ultimatum from Juve, with an offer of 10 million euros salary per season, including performance-related bonuses. The offer was already rejected by the duo at the start of the season, but the Old Lady executives have put this offer in a „take it or leave it“ form, and they want to sell the player if he refuses since his contract runs up in 2022.
There are clubs that offered swamps for players and Juve is considering it. The first on the list is the old partner – Barcelona. They did a swamp just a year ago, and it didn’t go so great: Miralem Pjanić for Arthur Melo (we recon that Juventus got the better part of the deal). Now, they are ready to do another one, but this time it would be Dybala for Ousmane Dembele. The situation here is a bit murky, since December is playing great at the moment, and there are no reports from Kamp Nou that the club wants to sell him. On the other side, no negotiations have started with the Frenchman, and his contract is also up in 2022, just like Dybala’s.
If that deal doesn’t go through for various reasons, Juventus still have suitors for their forward. Real Madrid, per Tuttosport would swap Isco for Dybala. If that doesn’t work out, a possible PSG’s Mauro Icardi trade remains in the frame, as well as Joao Felix (Atletico Madrid), Paul Pogba (Manchester United), and Gabriel Jesus (Manchester City).
(©AFP)La Gazzetta Dello Sport writes that Tottenham and Liverpool could also join the race to sign the 27-year-old who joined Juventus in a 40 million euros deal from Palermo in 2015. Dybala has struggled with various injuries this season and has only appeared 11 times in Serie A this term, contributing two goals and two assists. He needs new scenery, but in what club and what league?
