Juve starts the season with three goals scored and an easy win

Reading Time: 3min | Sun. 20.08.23. | 23:59

Everything was decided after the first 45 minutes, when the score was 3-0

Maybe a no-expectation season will be good for Juventus. Off course, after only one game into the new season, nobody predict anything, yet alone Juve's form, but from what it was seen tonight against Udinese, fans of the Torino's giant can be very happy. In the first match of the season, the 'Old Lady' did a few unusual things in a 3-0 win in Udine. First of all, they scored three goals, for the first time after 19 games in . Also, they scored their goals on time (2nd, 20th and 45th minute) and didn't leave it late, to further annoy their fans. And coach Massimiliano Allegri (maybe) changed too, as he played the whole match with two strikers.

Juve finished in fourth place in 2020/21 and 2021/22 and finished in seventh place last season after being deducted 10 points. They have been thrown out of Europe by UEFA for this season, so Allegri's men are focused only on Serie A this season, and it started good. Healthy again Chiesa opened the scoring after only two minutes, before Serbian Dušan Vlahović, who nearly swapped Juve with Chelsea converted the penalty kick into a 2-0 lead. Udinese obviously didn't had enough time to prepare the squad for the new season, and also were without Gerard Deluofeu, who is a very important player for them, and after 45 minutes, it didn't look good at all.

Luckily for the home crowd, Juve was satisfied with their big lead and provided nothing in the second half, which allowed Udinese to come back and provide some sort of normal game, but in the end, failed to score. In the first half, Juve had four shots on goal (three scored), as well as 55% possession, while in second, they had zero shots (to Udinese's four) and 45%.
