Since 2011, Dunga has been in the books of 14 clubs from 7 countries spread across three continents
Kenyan forward Ismail Dunga will ply his trade with Sham Shui Po Sports in the Hong Kong Premier League for the 2023/24 campaign.
Dunga was unveiled at the club at the end of June and was confirmed in the team's roster for the season earlier this week with the new season set to commence on 19 August 2023.
The former Tusker FC striker has been without a club since parting ways with Japan's Sagan Tosu last December after a challenging stint in Japan which saw him struggle for game time.
After failing to have an instant impact at Tosu, the 30-year-old was sent on loan to Japanese third-tier side Kamatamare Sanuki in a bid to rediscover his form and get minutes under his belt but that did not work either.
While he managed nine league appearances for the top-tier side Tosu, it was even worse at Kamatamare when he got to feature only four times in the third-tier league, starting once in the four instances and accumulating just 77 minutes.
He did not have a competitive goal while in Japan, finding the back of the net last in December 2020 while turning out for Albanian side Vllaznia Shkodër as they beat Kastrioti Krujë 3-0.
Sham Shui Po finished ninth in the 10-team league last season, picking just seven points from the 18 matches they played and they will be hoping for an improved campaign as Dunga targets to end the goal drought that has lasted almost three years.
This is Dunga's 14th club since 2011 when he turned out for Congo United before moving to Sony Sugar, then Tusker, and Nakumatt locally. After Nakumatt, he had a stint at Greek side Acharnaikos before returning to Africa for stints with Moroccan side Raja Beni Mellal and Zambia's City of Lusaka and NAPSA Stars. Albania was his next destination as he joined Luftëtari, then Tirana, then KF Vllaznia before crossing to Asia to join Japan's Tosu.
