Hammarby made 20 times more money after selling Toure
A name completely unknown to the general public but highly regarded by scouts across Europe—Bazumana Touré, the 18-year-old "phenomenon" from Hammarby. At least, that’s what the Swedes claim, and it seems the Germans agree, as Hoffenheim has just made the Ivorian left winger the record transfer in Allsvenskan history. However, there is some discrepancy between Swedish and German reports. According to the reputable German outlet Kicker, the transfer is worth 9 million euros. Swedish media, on the other hand, claim that the deal is fixed at 12 million, with an additional 2 million in potential bonuses.

If the latter figure is correct, Touré would become the most expensive outgoing transfer from a Swedish club. The current record belongs to Sebastian Nanasi, who moved to Strasbourg this season for 11 million. Behind him are Lucas Bergvall (Tottenham, 10 million), Hugo Larsson (Eintracht Frankfurt, 9 million), and legendary names such as Alexander Isak (Borussia Dortmund, 8.6 million) and Zlatan Ibrahimović (Ajax, 7.8 million).
Of course, times have changed, and inflation has affected the football market, but this remains an incredible deal for Hammarby. The club signed Touré in March last year for just 443,000 euros, and within ten months, their investment has multiplied by at least 20 times. Touré played 23 matches for Hammarby, scoring nine goals and providing four assists. Reports suggested that Brighton, Wolfsburg, Bayer Leverkusen, and RB Leipzig were also interested, but Hoffenheim offered him the longest contract and the most guaranteed playing time. For context, Hoffenheim has already spent 80 million on signings this season—if we take the Swedish reports as accurate.
