Liverpool striker is apparently very close to agreeing a deal with Al-Hilal
Darwin Nunez arrived for pre-season with a new buzzcut hairstyle. He delivered an impressive goalscoring tally of four goals, including a hat-trick against Stoke City. Throughout the entire previous campaign, he scored only seven goals in all competitions for Liverpool, and just when it seemed we could see a completely different Darwin, he could be leaving Anfield.

According to several media, Saudi Pro League outfit Al-Hilal are reportedly in talks with Darwin Nunez's camp about a possible move for the Liverpool striker.
The 26-year-old Uruguayan forward has fallen down the pecking order under Arne Slot, and it could become even worse after the Reds signed Hugo Ekitike from Eintracht Frankfurt last month.
Nunez has two years left on his current agreement at Anfield but has been linked with a departure after largely failing to live up to his £85 million price tag following his transfer in 2022. The former Benfica striker has been struggling to adapt since day one, and his struggles increased in 2024-25 as he fell out of favour under Slot.
