The Spaniard had other options but he wanted Hoffenheim
A few days ago it came as a complete surprise, now it's official - Angelino is the new footballer of Hoffenheim!
It seems that the stories about Domenico Tedesco not being a big fan of Angelino's qualities are true, because how else to explain him sacrificing one of the best players at the club in recent seasons and bringing in David Raum for 25 million euros? Leipzig did the job that Tedesco insisted on, and so did Hoffenheim, at the request of the Spanish full-back.

Although in the past days and weeks he had options to return to the Premier League or his homeland, Angelino asked Leipzig to let him stay in the Bundesliga, and Hoffenheim need a left-back of his characteristics after the departure of Raum. So all parties got what they wanted, which is why Angelino picked up the blue shirt. It is a one-year loan, with a purchase option of 20 million euros.
Andre Breitenreiter got a massive signing and a man who can practically hold the entire left flank by himself. Angelino is a great reinforcement for systems with three stoppers and offensive flankmen, that's why he showed great performances in Leipzig these years, and something similar awaits him with Hoffenheim. Last season, the Spaniard contributed to winning the domestic cup and another campaign in the Champions League with three goals and 12 assists.
A reminder - Barcelona and Brighton were interested in Angelino recently, but he wanted to continue his playing development in Germany.
