The Uruguayan striker is coming back to his first club National

Under the pressure of material values, in pursuit of money and fame, football players around the world generally choose clubs of the highest quality leagues as the final destination in their careers. However, the balance in the bank account at the end of rich biographies is not the only satisfaction, and football romance has not yet disappeared. At least we think so when we see numerous players who, after impressive successes, ‘closed the circle’ by deciding to play their last football in the places where they started.

One of them is Luis Suarez, the Uruguayan striker who confirmed his return to Nacional on his Twitter account. The goal scorer, free to find a new environment after the expiration of his contract with Atletico Madrid, decided to return to Montevideo after 16 years and to pay his ‘debts’ to the club for which he made his senior debut in 2005 and from which he made a step towards Europe.

"It was impossible to say no to an opportunity like this. I hope that the last details will be resolved soon so that the deal can be made official as soon as possible" Suarez said.

Let's remind you, Suarez moved from National to Groningen in the summer of 2006, and only a season later he was bought by Ajax, whose colors he defended until his transfer to Liverpool in 2011. He spent his mature football days in Primera, where he played for Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, and in the Catalan team he achieved the most success, including the Champions League, five Spanish championship titles and four cups.
