After 14 years, Newcastle United are finally free from Mark Ashley's stewardship and are more than ready for a groundbreaking boost of capital

Excitement is through the roof at the north of England - Newcastle United have new owners and some owners they are. The prince of Saudi Arabia - Mohammad bin Salman - and his closest cooperatives are now in charge of the Magpies and their future.

Along with the fans of Newcastle club, the rest of the country, Europe and the world are now on the edge of their seat, wondering if the black-and-whites will soon be the new competitors for the biggest trophies in club football.

Reportedly the wealth of the new owner of Newcastle reaches up to 436 billion USD. Management of the club, the executives and all matters related are soon to be presented by the organisation.

The Public Investment Fund's Yasir Al-Rumayyan, 51, is set to take the hotseat at St James' Park as non-executive chairman. On the other hand, British financier and broker Amanda Staveley is set to be named as director. The Reuben brothers are set to take a ten per cent stake in the club – but little is yet known about how involved they will be. The club structure is set for a major revamp.

“This is a long-term investment. We are excited about the future prospects for Newcastle United." said Staveley in her statement.

"We intend to instill a united philosophy across the Club, establish a clear purpose, and help provide leadership that will allow Newcastle United to go on to big achievements over the long term. Our ambition is aligned with the fans – to create a consistently successful team that’s regularly competing for major trophies and generates pride across the globe.”

It wasn't an easy road - after almost fifteen years Newcastle fans see their club liberated from Mark Ashley, probably the most hated man among the club's fans. Luckily for the them, Saudi prince is on his way with his enormous wealth. Just imagine being 50 richer than the owner of Paris Saint-Germain Nasser Al-Khelaifi.

According to the Mirror, the club's new owners will remove unpopular manager Steve Bruce while close to 350 million USD will be spent on players and infrastructure.

Several names have been listed to take the wheel at St.James' Park - the ones more mentioned are Steven Gerrard, Antonio Conte, Zinedine Zidane, Chris Wilder, Eddie Howe, Rafa Benitez, Roberto Martinez and Frank Lampard.
