The club conveyed decision on its social media handles.
Football Kenya Federation Premier League side Wazito FC have announced the release of four of their players including immediate former captain Bernard Ochieng and midfield workhorse Whyvonne Isuza ahead of the new season that is set to kick off later in September.
Apart from the duo, goalkeeper Levis Opiyo and left-back Dennis Ng’ang’a have also been released from the Ricardo Badoer funded outfit.
“We can confirm that the following players have left the club upon the expiry of their contracts/on mutual consent. Bernard Ochieng, Levis Opiyo, Dennis Ng'ang'a, Whyvone Isuza. We would like to thank them for their service to the club and wish them well for the future,” the club confirmed in a statement on their official portal on Thursday.

Despite having once formed an integral part of the Wazito squad, the relationship between the four players and the technical bench was said to be on its deathbed, leaving the club to show them the exit door.
Things turned from sweet to sour especially for goalkeeper Opiyo who has not stayed at the club for more than six months since joining from Gor Mahia in February as a free agent. When he first joined, the custodian was thrust into the first eleven by Francis Kimanzi just three days of training with the squad.

What turned to be a show of trust back then deteriorated quickly as Fredrick Odhiambo regained his place in between the Wazito sticks.
A falling out with the technical bench is understood to be the main reason why Bernard was stripped off the armband and consequently shown the exit door at the Kimanzi coached side.
