Former Southampton hitman Graziano Pelle scored this fantastic scissor-kick for Parma on Friday night

It’s like the spirit of the Brazilian legend Pele possessed the veteran Italian striker Graziano Pelle. The 35-year-old globetrotting striker returned to his homeland to wind down his long career, but the manner in which he opened the scoring suggests that he’s far from being finished!

In the match against Genoa, Pelle controlled the ball on his chest and positioned himself wonderfully well to perform a breath-taking scissor kick and beat the visiting goalkeeper Mattia Perin.

Just take a look at it!

Sadly for the hosts, Pelle’s wondergoal was the highpoint of their night. Led by the inspired half-time substitute Gianluca Scamacca, Genoa turned the game around and claimed the points that lifted them into 13th place.

Parma missed a chance to escape the Serie A drop zone and will be involved in a relegation fight until the very end of the campaign.
