Kenyan coach rumored to be on his way to Kagera Sugar
Biashara United head coach Francis Baraza has been heavily linked with a move to Kagera Sugar.
The former Harambee Stars defender who guided the Mara-based club to a 1-0 win away to Ihefu FC on Monday is said to have thrown in the towel after the match and will now take charge of the sugar millers going forward.

Baraza, who won the league with Sony Sugar in 2006 joined Biashara in November 2019 after ditching Chemelil Sugar who are currently in the National Super League. He had joined the sugar men in May 2018 after leaving Tusker.
Sources from Tanzania indicate that Baraza had attracted a number of suitors thanks to his rising coaching profile but Kagera offered him a sweet deal.
He is set to replace Mecky Maxime who was shown the door on Monday following a series of poor results.
The deal should be announced anytime soon. The club has settled on him to turn around the fortunes of the club. He has done well at Biashara United and won the hearts of many. He is gaining recognition and respect in the Tanzanian league." a reliable source who sought anonymity told Mozzart Sport
The former Tusker assistant coach in the meanwhile revealed the strategy he employed to shoot down the relegation-threatened Ihefu. The former defender praised his players for getting an early goal and resorting to sit deep in their area.
“The best team lost. They created many chances but my defense worked well. They are playing good football and if they come up against a weak opponent they will get a big win. We knew they would come out guns blazing but our plan to score early and remain solid at the rear came to fruition,” he said
Biashara are ranked fourth on the Tanzania Premier League log with 39 points, eleven shy of league leaders Yanga. Ihefu on the other hand are third from bottom with twenty points.
