Speaking during the club’s end-of-season awards gala on Thursday night, Sakaja outlined a 30-year blueprint that he believes could elevate Naibois into one of the continent’s leading football institutions.
Central to that vision is the construction of a privately owned stadium equipped with world-class facilities, including a state-of-the-art gymnasium.
"It will not be a county facility but a private one. It will have all the necessary amenities, including a world-class gym. I have a 30-year plan to turn Nairobi United into a club of the stature of Arsenal. Lazima itawork," said Sakaja.
While the stadium project represents the long-term dream, the club owner also disclosed that Nairobi United is set to receive a major boost ahead of next season in the form of a new team bus.
The governor revealed that President William Ruto's pledge to provide the club with a KSh35 million Marco Polo bus is nearing fulfilment.
"Remember when you went to the State House, and he made the promise? That bus is on its way, and you will soon have it," he told the players.
However, alongside the promises came a challenge to the squad.
After overseeing one of the most remarkable seasons by a newly promoted club, Sakaja warned that progress alone would no longer be enough next term.
"You have no other option but to win the league. I have sacrificed a lot for you, so come out of your comfort zone and give me results."
Head coach Godfrey "Solo" Oduor welcomed the club's decision to reward outstanding performers, saying recognition plays a key role in maintaining motivation within the squad.
"When you work, you should be able to see the fruits of your work. It serves as motivation because everyone wants to be rewarded at the end."
The former Kibera Black Stars coach also acknowledged that the club's impressive rise has brought increased expectations.
"We have done our best to come fifth, and it is possible to finish fourth," he noted. "Coming next season, we will have a tough task because the owner wants a trophy."
Nairobi has enjoyed a dream debut campaign in the FKF Premier League, exceeding expectations by establishing itself among the country's top sides while also reaching the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup.
They currently sit fifth on the table with 50 points from 33 matches and will conclude their season against champions Gor Mahia on Sunday.
