Leopards lost to Bandari but Kipyegon feels that they did play well overall but threw away many chances.
AFC Leopards captain Isaac Kipyegon says wastefulness cost them in the 2-1 defeat to Bandari FC in an FKF Premier League match played on Sunday at the Mbaraki Sports Club.
Ingwe suffered a second consecutive league defeat in the hands of the Dockers in Mombasa. Ugandan pair of Umaru Kasumba and William Wadri got the goals for Leopards while Kipyegon got the consolation strike for Ingwe.
The defeat was Ingwe's second in three days after the 1-0 loss to arch-rivals Gor Mahia in the Mashemeji Derby at the Moi International Sports Center Kasarani on Wednesday.

Reflecting on the match against the Dockers, Kipyegon said not taking chances cost them. This doesn't come as a shock considering the fact they lost all their attackers after the conclusion of the 2020/21 season. Elvis Rupia, Shaka Bienvenue and Hansel Ochieng all left the club. The team is yet to sign any player owing to the transfer embargo that was slapped on the club by FIFA.
"We created a lot of chances and I believe had we taken them, we would have picked a win not even a draw. We had the best clear-cut chances but somehow we lacked that composure and killer instinct in front of goal and in the end we lost. It definitely hurts to lose a game but there are positives as well because we are creating chances and now it is a matter of working on our finishing and we will be good to go," he told Mozzart Sport.

On how they performed overall, the left-back cum central defender said that they did better compared to their performance in the derby.
"It was a good game; I think it was a good response after the defeat to Gor Mahia. We were very committed as a team and we fought well for the entire 90 minutes. I can say that we played well than we did against Gor Mahia and I think there are a lot of positives to pick from the match," he added.
Next for Ingwe is a match against Ulinzi Stars.
