What he did in the last La Liga matchday when he got injured against Valencia is worth a standing ovation

Iago Aspas has been a household name in Spanish football for years and is one of the most productive strikers in La Liga.

What we maybe didn't know until now, however, is how superintelligent he really is. But after his fast thinking in the last league game against Valencia, we must say the guy probably deserves nothing less than a nomination for the world's most intelligent player.

Aspas,34, scored an opener against Valencia ten minutes into the game after a smashing solo effort, but he got injured during the finishing. Once he realized what had happened, he immediately took off his shirt in celebration.

But isn't that move always rewarded with a yellow card? Of course, it is, and that's the exact reason why Aspas decided to celebrate it in that manner. He was just one booking away from a suspension, and he took off his shirt to get booked and miss Friday's match against Mallorca while he recovers.

After it, Aspas won't be sidelined anymore, and there will be no more card problems for him. Wow, sky-high IQ, we must say.
