The striker has not scored for Homeboyz this season.

Kakamega Homeboyz forward Levis Okello is yet to find the back of the net for the club and has revealed his struggles have been down to little service.

The forward joined Homeboyz in the off-season transfer window from Nzoia Sugar FC but is yet to open his goal account at the club, six games into the season.

The former Vihiga Bullets striker admitted that he bangs most of his goals from crosses which have not been coming as frequently as he would want them to.

“I have my strengths as a forward and for me, I like to score goals from crosses, we have not been putting a lot of crosses in the box and that is why I have struggled.

I have talked to the team and asked them to supply more crosses because when you make a move and the cross does not come it kills the move,” said Okello.

Okello managed to bag nine goals in his debut season for Nzoia last season and finished as the club’s top scorer, convincing Homeboyz to rope him in.

The forward added that he has been putting a lot of emphasis on scoring exercises and hopes to finally bag his first goal against Sharks when football resumes on Wednesday 4 January.

“We have to put in a lot of effort for our next game against Kariobangi Sharks, I hope I can get my first goal of the season in that game.

I have been doing a lot of training exercises during the festive break with the main focus being on scoring exercises,” added Okello.
